| Tonight I saw Stars Wars: Episode III Revenge of
the Sith. My friend picked me up at approximately 7:32pm and we were at the theater
at about 7:46 just in time to cash in our 8:00pm tickets we bought two days ago
virtually spontaneously right after school. All in all it was a pretty good
movie and not only manage to conclude the Episode 1-3 trilogy but displayed
enough of a heads up so some things in a New Hope would come together a bit
better. However, on the same note there were some minor discrepancies which a
true movie fanatic who manages to remember almost every line in what he thinks
is a good movie, which in most cases is a good movie. After talking to him
about one, I think it somewhat gave one possibility on why it made some what
sense, it was still basically left open though. As for me I'm more of a Star
Wars geek in the technical aspect on how ships look and work (in there own book
specified and quasi-physics way), so I found some things wrong with not only
how the look of the ships synced in with the origonal trilogy (I still think
that Star Destroyer at the end is not a Victory Class one even though my friend
is, where are the shield bubbles and trademark bridge?), they should of had
Victory Class Star Destroyers by then (for crying out loud they called them
antiquated by Stars Wars Episode 4: A New Hope. Not to mention how the gravity
generators, devices or whatever they are called reacted on one particular ship.
But I guess thats just me. Also, aside from the fact that Lucas did not do
everything that can be in a PG-13 (though I ended up concluding with my friend
that it was sufficient enough to get the point across), and some of the scenes
went by like a soap (on which they really couldn't help it), all in all it is a
good movie and a great Star Wars one.
| Ok I was formulating this while lying in bed so here it
goes.
I now have serious doubts about getting a job at Dunkin Donuts, the
main
manager went away for last week, while the I did hand my school papers
(papers
that pretty much say that my school thinks I am responsible enough to
hold a
job, boy I hate federal intervention at times, even though I would also
like it
in certain cases as well) to the district manage who the main one told
me to
hand to has not signed it since the last Sunday and now the manager has
not
called me about anything, not to mention a influx of new employees as
well. So
I guess I will call or somehow manage to catch him there and see whats
up, even
though the prospects of getting a job there are rather dismal and once
again the challenge of trying to even find an available job or get as
far as talking with the manager about it is rather daunting. So that
also means I can't get fuel for my car, which is not
likely that even with a job I would be able to fill it up much anyway.
It is
also not like at the moment I really have anywhere to go, at the
moment. It is
not completely a bad thing though since I can still now, aside from my
homework
relax for the day, night, and stupidly into the wee morning ours at
times.
Also on Thursday I am going to the State House in the New Jersey capital of
Trenton, courtesy of the Participation in Government Class, which I have been
taking this year. Unlike other, aside from the Computer Art class I am in, this
class has people that actually care about the subject that is being taught. So
when a county Freeholder came in, Douglas R. Cabana to be
exact, most people had plenty of questions for him while others actually
listened. Now if you are wondering what a Freeholder is, a Freeholder is a sort
of a county advisory counsel who are voted in by mostly other mayors, but if I
remember there is one Freeholder position that is voted in by the county
citizens, to serve in a counsel that eloquates funds while also looking into
propositions accordingly to projects the county either takes part in or is
obligated to. The name comes from the fraise during the colonial times that a
person who was free to vote had to own property, among other requirements and
also extends to the vassals of medevil times. Of course New Jersey is the only
state with freeholders so to speak, since NY and every other state has changed
the name to County Council Members or something of that sort.
While he was talking he had key issues to talk about, such as what exactly is
managed by the county and other things that they are looking into such as what
exactly they are doing with Greystone (a huge mental institution built in the
1930s plus surround acres that were owned by the state and all of a sudden
abandoned about 12 years ago yet left everything untouched and intact inside),
with the exception of some small areas used by certain county government
offices most of it is boarded, up. What I think they are planning to do is turn
part of it into a golf course and some into a park, and knocking downing the
roof and floors of the compound so there is less of a chance it would cave in
while people are around it, I think they are debating whether to keep the
structure there since it is historical. But as for the individual who was
there, Cabana is a very charismatic person who doesn't speak too hastily,
answered our entire questions, and every seemed to really like him even
Democrats since he is a Republican. However, I felt a slight uneasiness about
him, I guess it just stems from my thought of politicians in general that came
from what my dad went through while owning a building and a business. Which is
why I am taking this class as so I can know how this government system works,
so I can fend off anything political and even indisuals who use political BS.
Some people usually say it is better to own a business, but unless you expect
allot of problems and paperwork to come your way you might as well work
undersome who does. Not to mention from seeing all those documentaries that
show how some tiranical dictators came to power through pure charisma. This is
probably why I want to go into cartooning or something of art and design of
some sort. But then even though you are not putting up with politics as much
(except if the FCC or somebody somewhere who gets someone to take you to court)
there is always marketing. I'm sorry if I am not posting any pictures of my car
right now, it is rather late for me so I will hold it until something. When
exactly is that time, I don't definitely know.

Ok it has been a while since I ever did an entry here, so
here it goes.
1. I got my driver's license today. I never knew when the day would come but it
did, today. If anyone knows anything about New Jersey it is probably one of the
harshest on getting and being a licensed driver with not being able to get a
permit until 16 and waiting 13 months, usually until 17 for getting a license,
plus not a full license until 18, not to mention the highest insurance in the
nation thanks to overly regulated insurance companies (but I won't go into
that). This is only second to New York City and NY State is only a bit harder
when it comes to insurance. So I have a license not a full one, which means it
would be illegal to drive beyond 11:00pm and before 5:00am, so it is not that
bad. I will later post pictures and info on my ride, late as in not months or a
year later though.
2. I might be finally getting a job at a business. Its at a Dunkin Donuts near
me that also has a Baskin Robbins, I talked with the manager about work hours
and whether I got the job, he said I did and would call me some time to
finalize work hours, uniforms among other things. Well, in truth this is the
closest I ever got to actually getting a job because he has not called me back
yet. I might stop over there some time to find out whats going on. I need
something in order to pay for the fuel in my car so I can drive, among other
things I would want to buy or save up for.
3. Well, since I am in my last year of highschool I needed a college/university
or some place to go after for further learning in something of my choice. My
choice is Media Arts, with computer graphics, cartooning and such. The school,
which I signed up for and accepted me, is the Art Institute of Philadelphia.
The other one I signed up for was the Mason Gross School of Fine Arts at
Rutgers, I have not heard from them. So as of now it is off to Philly by fall.
Also, I will be sure to put up some new music for the site. But I have lost my
collection of CDs since last year. I know I can always downloaded music but I
had a new CD Troll Hammen from Finntroll which I wanted all of you to hear. Oh
well, I guess I will think of something else for now.
